Choice Hotels has taken the decision to accept responsibility for the environment - and for the global climate in particular. Great emphasis is placed on Choice’s energy consumption. Focus areas within Choice Hotels include:

As of 1 February, we serve organic breakfasts at all our 160 hotels in the Nordic region. This will translate into organic breakfasts for more than 7 million guests every year.

Environmental certification of all our hotels according to the ISO 14001 standard, starting in spring 2008.

We use renewable and environmentally friendly energy.

We are replacing oil-fired boilers with geothermal heating solutions.

We support the development of Your Choice, an organic apple.

We are to buy areas of rainforest. For each overnight stay, we will save a piece of rainforest.
